Heritage Alpha Intercontinental (HAI) Hospital is operated by the Help Africa Initiatives (HAI). The Help Africa Initiatives (HAI) is a charity, not-for-profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). The HAI Hospital is located at Ugbo, Ilaje Local Government Council of Ondo State, Nigeria, West Africa. Based on the National Population Commission of Nigeria (2006-03-21), the Ilaje Local Government has a population of 289,838, an area of 1,318 km² and a density of 219.9 inhabitants/ km². According to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) 2006 Reports on Niger Delta, the human development index (HDI) (a measure of well-being encompassing the Longevity of life, knowledge and a decent standard of living) score was 0.564 (1 being the highest) and life expectancy was estimated to be 43 years. There is one primary health care facility to every 9,805 people while one secondary healthcare facility to every 131,174 people (UNDP 2006 Reports on Niger Delta).
Currently, the HAI hospital provides laboratory, medical, surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, orthopedic, nursing, out-patient, and in-patient (admission), chaplaincy (spiritual support) mortuary services and medical outreach with about 25 hospital beds.
